the cost of the development kit has been priced around $700 (which is peanuts) but even so, it is not affordable for many free software developers. to that end, two people have offered to provide sponsorship to cover the cost of the development kits.
interested parties should subscribe to the qtopia-interest@trolltech.com mailing list.
trolltech have a competition for the best idea, as well. someone just suggested setting up a site for the collection of ideas.
New HTML Parser: The long-awaited libxml2 based HTML parser code is live. It needs further work but already handles most markup better than the original parser.
