As part of my work, I write for Linux Format magazine. I like the magazine and read it monthly, but did you know it can help in flagging Open Source projects?
Linux Format has recently started a 'Help Wanted' column, to highlight Free Software (and community) projects in need of assistance - be it coders, doc writers or testers. Recently featured projects include Bochs, Freerails, the NMS CGI scripts, PicoGUI, Sorcerer GNU/Linux and the Electronic Frontier Foundation. They want to hear from anyone who'd like their project featured. Email: linuxformat@futurenet.co.uk
It is great to see a magazine taking an active role in helping Open Source projects, and I hope it can help with yours.
The URL of the magazine?
http://www.linuxformat.co.uk/.
EVERY open source project needs help, and I bet most of us would welcome the ego boost of seeing our pet project mentioned in a real paper magazine. So, OK. If Linux Format want to mention my helpdesk project (http://www.sourceforge.net/projects/f2w) I might even buy that issue of the mag, even though the cover disc is mostly RPMs (or was, when I gave up buying it a while ago for that reason).
But maybe they'd better not - Acorn User published a couple of my submissions and look what happened to them. No, really, my code isn't that evil, honest!
The URL for any non-specified link:Why, it's http://www.google.com/.
:-)
FOAF updates: Trust rankings are now exported, making the data available to other users and websites. An external FOAF URI has been added, allowing users to link to an additional FOAF file.
